Governors Island - Fête Paradiso

This Summer, there are old carnival rides from France on Governors Island, in Nolan Park. Some are more than a hundred years old. Among them are a dragon ride, several carousels and swings. While we were there this Saturday, old French music was playing in the background, and near the lunch area, a singer was singing chansons from Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Barbara, Jeanne Moreau and Serge Gainsbourg.

Fête Paradiso will be there until the end of August.
The beautiful sand castle is in Lower Manhattan, near Battery Park.
