These pictures were taken during a stroll in DC, Chevy Chase, and Somerset after watching the film Parada by Srdjan Dragojevic at the Avalon Theater. In late April, the daffodils and the cherry trees were mostly past their peak but the tulips, azaleas, fragrant viburnums, and dogwoods were in full bloom. I also noticed a front lawn full of violets. The quiet Lanes reminded me of Avon on the Jersey Shore but the sleek Arts and Crafts houses reminded me of trips to California
