Brooklyn Botanic Garden

These pictures were taken on April 14 2012 at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. We saw birds (robins, a cardinal), lots of trees in bloom (magnolia, crab apple, cherry, lilac, viburnum) and visited the green houses this time, as well as the bonsai museum and the vegetable garden. It was a little crowded but still, it was beautiful day!

PS: The wall of twigs behind which Sabina is hiding is part of an installation created by American artist Patrick Dougherty.

Brede, Denmark

Last day of 2011. When we got up in the morning, there was heavy fog and a thick layer of frost on all the greenery around, which the sun failed to melt that day. In the morning we all went to visit Jesper's shop Dinnertime then got the house ready for the New Year's Eve dinner. In the afternoon, we went for a walk to Brede, where an old textile factory from the 1800's has been converted into a museum. The landscapes that afternoon were magical. Happy 2012!
