This Summer, there are old carnival rides from France on Governors Island,
in Nolan Park. Some are more than a hundred years old.
Among them are a dragon ride, several carousels and swings. While we were there this Saturday, old French music was playing in
the background, and near the lunch area, a singer was singing chansons
from Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Barbara, Jeanne Moreau and Serge
Gainsbourg.
Fête Paradiso
will be there until the end of August.
