Auburn, Maine

Yesterday, a Sunday, I did some more gardening in the morning. We then hit the local big box stores to buy a few things, including bird seed for the feeders. In the afternoon Vlada and I went for a short hike to Mount Apatite. The loop trail was mostly flat and without any views but the mosquitoes were fierce. On the way there, we passed two apple farms on Perkins Ridge Road in West Auburn. The trees in the orchards were in full bloom.

For dinner Vlada was in charge of the barbecue while I was mostly checking out my earlier work in the garden with a well-deserved beer in hand.
